      男,物理學家,1945年出生于云南昆明,1968年畢業于臺灣大學電機工程系,1974年獲美國芝加哥大學物理系博士學位,1991年當選為中國科學院院士(學部委員),1992年當選為第三世界科學院院士?,F任清華大學原子分子測控科學中心主任、中國科學院物理研究所研究員。


      研究方向

      研究發展了多通道量子數虧損理論;應用量子電動力學于高能原子過程,闡明了電子軔致輻射過程(高能光子能區)和輻射復合過程的內在關系;建立相對論性多通道量子數虧損理論,為分析高離化度、高Z原子的激發態能級結構建立了理論基礎;建立了非相對論性多重散射的分子自洽場理論計算方法,并闡明分子里德伯態的電子結構;同時建立了原子超越自洽場的多通道理論計算方法,以闡明電子關聯效應。

      研究領域

      從事原子分子物理、計算物理、理論物理方面的研究。
      研究內容圍繞著研究發展量子多體理論和計算方法; 可以對原子、分子、團簇體系的物理性質和有關動力過程進行定量的理論計算和描述。面向著納米科學的需要:即原子分子層次超靈敏探測、識別、操縱與控制方面,進行理論計算研究。
      (a) 應用第一原理分子動力學模擬,研究納米管的性質;探索新型的半導體納米管;研究了各種表面上吸附原子運動的機制。
      (b) 根據時間關聯函數理論并結合緊束縛分子動力學模擬,研究分子團簇的紅外吸收譜和振動譜,以及電離和離解復合。
      (c) 研究分子近閾結構;研究分子廣義振子強度;發展超越自洽的分子理論計算方法。
      (d) 根據相對論多通道理論,研究了原子(離子)的高激發態能級結構和自電離態結構;研究原子的雙激發能級結構,闡明電子關聯作用。
      (e) 應用R矩陣方法,結合通道方法,研究原子廣義振子強度及振子強度密度規律。

      學術成就

      長期致力于原子、分子激發態結構和其動力過程之基礎研究,發展了多通道量子數虧損理論。應用量子電動力學于高能原子過程,建立了相對論性多通道量子數虧損理論,建立了原子超越自洽場的多通道原子理論計算方法、非相對論性多重散射的分子自洽場理論計算方法。最近還致力于團簇物理的理論研究,面向納米科學的研究發展需要。發表學術論文約160篇,合著出版專著《X射線激光》。因為他在原子分子理論方面作出的貢獻,1986年獲得國際理論物理中心(ICTP)的Kastler獎。1990 年獲中國科學院自然科學獎二等獎,被評為中國科學院有突出貢獻的中青年專家。1991年被評為中國科學院(七五)重大科研任務先進工作者。1992 年獲中國科學院自然科學獎二等獎。1994年被國防科學技術工業委員會評為在863計劃科研工作中的先進個人。2001年獲中國人民解放軍總裝備部和國家科技部863計劃十五周年先進個人獎。2002年獲得國家科技部何梁何利科技進步獎(物理學)。
